Solicitor / Associate – Motor & Fraud

Overview

Pathway Legal is working with a leading global legal firm to recruit a Solicitor or Associate for its established and growing Motor & Fraud team in Belfast.

Joining an award-winning team, you will handle a varied caseload including personal injury, complex and catastrophic injury claims, motor damage, credit hire, recoveries and fraud-related matters, at both pre-litigation and litigated stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload from initial instruction through to resolution.

• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and liaise with witnesses and experts.

• Draft and review pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation.

• Provide clear, strategic legal advice to insurer clients.

• Represent clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations where required.

• Maintain compliance with professional, regulatory and client requirements.

• Work with colleagues across teams and jurisdictions.

• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, case law and industry developments.

Essential Skills

• Qualified Solicitor with 1–5 years’ PQE.

• Strong knowledge of motor insurance and fraud-related litigation, including civil procedure.

• Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

• A collaborative approach and commitment to client service.

• Experience handling high-value or complex claims would be advantageous.
