RTA Solicitor / Senior Paralegal

Pathway Legal is delighted to be working with an established and highly regarded law firm in East Belfast to recruit an experienced RTA Solicitor, Senior Paralegal / File Handler.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in road traffic accident claims who is looking to join a supportive and flexible firm offering a varied caseload and the opportunity to develop their career within claimant litigation.

The firm is ideally looking for a qualified Solicitor with approximately 1–7 years’ PQE; however, qualification is not essential. Applications are also welcomed from experienced Senior Paralegals or File Handlers who have strong RTA experience and are confident managing their own caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of claimant RTA matters from initial instruction through to conclusion.
• Provide clear, practical advice to clients throughout the claims process.
• Progress files efficiently and proactively, ensuring key deadlines are met.
• Liaise and negotiate with insurers, third parties and other relevant parties.
• Draft correspondence and legal documentation as required.
• Assess liability, quantum and appropriate case strategy.
• Maintain a high standard of client care throughout each matter.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the litigation team.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Previous experience handling RTA claims within a legal environment.
• Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, ideally with approximately 1–7 years’ PQE, as well as experienced Senior Paralegals and File Handlers.
• Experience managing your own caseload with a good level of autonomy.
• Strong knowledge of the claims process and personal injury litigation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client care skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A proactive and commercially aware approach to case management.
