Employment law Paralegal

Overview

Our client, a highly regarded commercial law firm based in Belfast city centre, is seeking to recruit an Employment Law Paralegal to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a leading commercial practice. Whilst previous employment law experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. Candidates with paralegal experience gained in any area of law will be considered.

Working closely with experienced solicitors, you will gain exposure to a broad range of employment law matters and receive excellent support and training as you develop your expertise in this specialist area.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting solicitors with a varied caseload of employment law matters.
• Drafting legal correspondence and documentation.
• Preparing files, bundles and supporting documentation for hearings and tribunals.
• Conducting legal research and preparing briefing notes.
• Liaising with clients, counsel and third parties.
• Managing and maintaining case files and records.
• Assisting with general administrative and case management duties.
• Supporting the wider Employment Law team as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous paralegal experience is required.
• Employment law experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
