Overview

We are seeking a Solicitor to join a specialist Motor team, handling motor injury, credit hire, and damage cases while developing your career with a leading international legal business.

You will work within a National team advising insurers and corporate clients on a range of claims, from standard motor cases to complex catastrophic injury, clinical negligence, and professional negligence matters. The team also provides pre-emptive advice and support for dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run and assist with a varied caseload of pre-litigation and litigated motor injury, credit hire, and damage cases, including cases where liability is disputed. Attend Court / Counsel as required.

  • Meet and maintain individual targets for financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rates, and average claim spend.

  • Support marketing and business development activities, including attending events and client training sessions.

  • Ensure quality control and benchmark compliance on your caseload, including accurate and timely reporting.

  • Maintain awareness of procedures and strategies.

  • Develop technical knowledge through training and relevant publications.

  • Handle confidential information in line with data security protocols.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor (Suit NQ-2 YRS PQE) with enthusiasm for, and ideally experience in, motor injury, credit hire, and damage cases.

  • Commercial perspective on legal issues, with strong focus on client service.

  • Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.

  • Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage workload effectively.

  • Detail conscious, producing work to a high standard.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with supervisors and team members.

  • Flexible, self-motivated team player aligned with Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined, Supportive).
