Solicitor – Motor / Fraud

Overview

Excellent role with an established and highly regarded legal services firm who are seeking to appoint an experienced Solicitor to join their Motor & Fraud team in Belfast.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor looking to develop their career within a successful and supportive team, working on a varied caseload of interesting and complex insurance matters.

The successful candidate will join a strong team handling a broad range of motor, fraud and insurance-related claims, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve managing a varied caseload from inception through to resolution, including both pre-litigation and litigated matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of motor and fraud-related claims
• Conducting investigations, reviewing evidence and liaising with witnesses and experts
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation
• Providing strategic legal advice to clients
• Representing clients in negotiations and court proceedings where required
• Ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory and client requirements
• Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, case law and industry developments

Essential Skills and Experience

• Qualified Solicitor with ideally 1–6 years’ PQE
• Experience within motor, fraud, insurance litigation or defendant litigation
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills
• Strong client care skills with the ability to deliver high-quality legal advice

Experience dealing with complex or high-value claims would be advantageous.
