Overview:

Our client is a well-respected, busy law firm located in the heart of Belfast. They are seeking a highly organised and professional General Legal Secretary to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to support solicitors across multiple practice areas, including litigation, employment, and conveyancing. While experience in any one area is essential, exposure to more than one of these areas is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors.

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.

  • Manage diaries, appointments, and client communications efficiently.

  • Prepare and file court bundles, maintain case files, and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Liaise with clients, counsel, and external parties professionally.

  • Support multiple teams across litigation, employment, and conveyancing matters as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally in litigation, employment, or conveyancing.

  • Excellent typing, document formatting, and attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.

  • Discretion, professionalism, and excellent client care skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
