Overview

A leading UK law firm is seeking a Solicitor with conveyancing experience to join its growing Dispute Resolution team in Belfast at Associate level.

Applications are welcome from solicitors with 1+ years’ PQE, including more experienced candidates.

The role will primarily involve the sale of recovered properties on behalf of lenders and financial institutions, with opportunities to handle related property disputes, title rectification and real estate litigation.

Litigation experience would be useful but is not essential. Strong conveyancing knowledge and the ability to progress matters independently are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sale of recovered properties on behalf of lenders and financial institutions.

• Progress a busy conveyancing caseload independently, maintaining excellent client service.

• Investigate complex title issues and assist with title rectification.

• Handle property and conveyancing disputes from instruction through to resolution.

• Advise on title defects, mortgage fraud, professional negligence and property transaction disputes.

• Draft legal documents, correspondence and settlement documentation, including pleadings and witness statements where required.

• Participate in negotiations, mediation and court proceedings where appropriate.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the Belfast team.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Qualified Solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE.

• Detailed working knowledge of the conveyancing process.

• Ability to manage a caseload and progress matters independently.

• Strong organisational, drafting and communication skills.

• A practical, commercially focused approach and commitment to client service.

Desirable Experience

• Litigation or property disputes experience would be useful but is not essential.

• Experience selling recovered properties would be beneficial but is not required.
