Matrimonial / Family Solicitor

Overview

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Greater Belfast area, currently seeking an experienced Family / Matrimonial Solicitor to join their growing practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and committed solicitor who is passionate about family law and keen to progress their career, with a clear pathway towards directorship for the right individual over the coming years.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private family and matrimonial matters, including divorce, separation, ancillary relief and children-related issues

• Providing clear, practical advice to clients with sensitivity and professionalism

• Conducting negotiations and, where required, representing clients in court

• Assisting with general litigation matters as needed (desirable but not essential)

• Building strong client relationships and contributing to the ongoing growth of the firm

• Working closely with the Partner to support succession and the long-term development of the department

Essential Skills and Experience

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE in family / matrimonial law

• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to manage family law matters independently

• A hardworking, reliable and proactive approach

• Excellent communication and client-care skills

• Ambition to progress professionally, with an interest in future leadership / directorship

• Litigation experience is beneficial but not essential
