The firm is now seeking a Junior Associate or Associate (NQ–5 years PQE) to join their growing Defence Insurance team. This role offers a dynamic mix of personal injury, employers’ liability, public liability, and motor claims in a supportive and flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities
Claims Management & Legal Practice

Handle a diverse caseload of defence litigation claims across motor, disease, employer liability and public liability matters.

Act on behalf of insurance companies and self-insured commercial clients.

Assist with case investigations, draft legal documents, take witness statements, and assess medical records and reports.

Manage court processes, including reviews, interlocutory applications, and pre-trial meetings.
Client Relations & Reporting

Deliver high-quality legal advice to clients and maintain effective client communication.

Ensure compliance with client SLAs, reporting obligations, and reserving requirements.

Collaborate with Partners on the development of new and existing client relationships.
Court Work

Regularly attend court to advocate on behalf of clients.

Support case strategy and progression in line with procedural deadlines and court timetables.
Team Contribution

Work closely with colleagues across all levels of the team in a collaborative environment.

Contribute to business development and innovation within the team.
Essential Skills and Experience
-
Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland (Newly Qualified – 5 years PQE).

Experience in personal injury litigation is essential.

Exposure to defence insurance litigation is highly desirable, though not essential.

Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A proactive, motivated and team-focused approach to legal practice.
