General Litigation Solicitor

Overview

Our client is a busy and prestigious firm of solicitors based in Lisburn, well-regarded for delivering high-quality legal services across a range of practice areas. The firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its Litigation team, with the opportunity to work on a varied caseload including general litigation and some matrimonial and family law matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor who enjoys variety in their work and values the opportunity to develop broad expertise within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of general litigation matters, including civil disputes, personal injury, and other contentious work.

• Handle matrimonial and family law cases as required.

• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients and manage cases from instruction through to resolution.

• Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.

• Conduct legal research and prepare cases for hearing.

• Represent clients at court and liaise with counsel where appropriate.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and responsive service.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Qualified Solicitor (1–4 years’ PQE ideal, but all levels considered).

• Experience in general litigation, with an interest or some exposure to family/matrimonial work.

• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload effectively.

• A client-focused, proactive, and professional approach.
