Overview
We are seeking a Motor Solicitor to join a busy and supportive insurance litigation team. You will manage a varied caseload of litigated Credit Hire and Personal Injury Motor cases within the County Court and High Court. This role is ideal for solicitors with 2–5 years PQE looking to develop their expertise in insurance defence litigation.
The team offers a collaborative and friendly working environment, hybrid working options, and a clear career progression pathway with opportunities to advance to Associate, Team Lead, or Partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cases in line with client instructions to achieve successful outcomes.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, witnesses, insurers, and other third parties.
- Interview witnesses and draft statements, pleadings, and applications.
- Instruct counsel and attend conferences, mediations, and court hearings (remote or in-person).
- Maintain case management systems and provide up-to-date management information.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Meet agreed performance targets and quality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Law degree and qualified solicitor (2–5 years PQE).
- Experience in defence insurance litigation desirable but not essential.
- Strong telephone advocacy and client care skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good understanding of litigation process, case law, and court rules.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical, research, and IT skills.
- Positive, confident, and proactive attitude.
