Our client is a leading independent commercial law firm in Northern Ireland, renowned for their deep expertise across specialist practice areas. Recognised in top legal directories such as Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, the firm is consistently ranked among the most respected in the region.
Their lawyers regularly advise on complex matters spanning both Northern Ireland and England & Wales. As they continue to grow, they are now seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join their Disputes team in Belfast City Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Litigation team
- Audio and copy typing of correspondence and legal documents
- File and document management, including opening, closing, archiving, and scanning files
- Preparation of court bundles and other litigation documentation
- Diary management, organising meetings and travel arrangements
- Supporting the team with general administrative tasks as required
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary in a litigation/disputes department
- Strong typing skills (both audio and copy) with excellent attention to detail
- Proven experience preparing bundles and managing legal documentation
- Familiarity with both Plaintiff and Defendant litigation processes (experience in either or both will be considered)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems
